Year 5 and 6 Residential Trip

Each year the children in Year 5 and 6 are invited to take part in a three-day residential trip orgainsed by the school. We alternate years between attending an outdoor activity centre, such as PGL Liddington in Wiltshire, and an urban, youth hostel based experience.

In June 2018, year 5 and 6 headed out on an action-packed trip to Pinkery Centre in Exmoor National Park.

The activity centre visit lasted for three days and during that time the children were challenged to participate in a series of action-packed, adrenaline-filled activities. Some of the activities on offer included: mountain-biking, low ropes courses, bushcraft, archery, abseiling and climbing.

We notice a real difference in learning aspects such as self-esteem, confidence and risk-taking after the children have been away on our residential and it is a very valuable experience for all who go.
