A message from Jeremy Handscomb
SATs week is over, at last! I want to congratulate our wonderful Year 6 children on their attitude to this week. They have been calm and sensible, positive and hard-working and they will all have done their absolute best. Our Year 6 children are a delight to the school and a credit to you as parents - well done! Thank you to Mr Penn and all the staff who have provided an extra special breakfast club for our Year 6s this week - conversations over croissants is a fab way to start the day! Our Big Rec PE afternoons on Thursdays have been very successful so far and it’s lovely to see the whole school exercising and enjoying themselves together. Thanks to the village Sports and Rec Trust for allowing us to use the field in this way. We have noticed that a lot of the children seem not to have the appropriate PE kit though. Please ensure that your child wears a plain white T-shirt and black shorts for their PE sessions - this is part of their school uniform.
DONE AND DUSTED: Our amazing Year Sixes are relieved that their SATs tests are over, and they can now enjoy the rest of their last summer term at Castle!
